Tsunami Island is a beautiful beach located near the fishing hamlet of Devbaug in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district. It is a popular destination for a wide array of exciting water sport activities and must-visit if you are seeking an adventurous beach holiday.

Tsunami Island is believed to have emerged during the 2004 Indian ocean earthquake and tsunami. It is under water during high tide and is accessible only when the tide is low. To reach the beach, take a boat from Tarkarli Beach jetty or Devbaug Beach jetty. The return boat journey to Tsunami Island includes both drop-off and pick-up.

The boat from Devbaug Beach to Tsunami Island takes you across the Devbaug ‘Sangam’ point, where the Karli River meets the Arabian Sea to form a lively spectacle of green river water merging into the blue sea. During the exciting boat ride, you will also be shown the Crocodile point, the Seagull point and Golden Rock.

Once you reach Tsunami Island you will be amazed by its pristine beauty.
