The Peb Fort Trek is one of the most enjoyable monsoon treks near the towns of Neral and Matheran in Maharashtra’s Raigad District.

Peb Fort is situated about 4 km away from Neral Station. It is an amazing experience to walk through charming local villages, cascading waterfalls, beautiful fields and lush greenery to reach the foothills of Peb Fort.

Peb Fort stands at a height of about 2,100 feet. Anandwadi is the base village of this fort. Ladders are situated at intervals throughout the route to reach the top of Peb Fort, making the climb over rocky patches relatively easy. The route is also comprised of dense thickets and ridges. There are numerous caves along the away, where you can rest for a few moments.

It takes about 3 to 5 hours to complete this trek. This trek can be combined with a visit to Matheran and you can hike till the ‘Panoram Point’ of Matheran. This is a medium grade trek and is suitable for novice trekkers as well as seasoned trekkers.
