Shri Siddhivinayak Temple at Siddhatek is the second temple in the Ashtavinayak Yatra circuit. It is situated about 100 km away from Pune and about 65 km away from Morgaon. Though Siddhatek is the second temple in the Ashtavinayak circuit, often devotees visit it third after Morgaon and Theur, as this is a more convenient itinerary.
Located on a hillock about 1 km away from the center of Siddhatek village, the temple is surrounded by a thicket of Babul trees. The Lord Ganesha idol at this temple is the only Ashtavinayak deity with its trunk turned towards the right. It is flanked by the statues of Lord Ganesha’s consorts Riddhi and Siddhi. The temple’s inner sanctum, which is 15 feet high and 10 feet wide was built by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar in the 17th century.
