Nagaon is one of the most romantic destinations near Pune. It is a secluded beach with very few visitors. The best place to relax and just laze around in the sun, away from the crowded city. The area surrounding the beach has a thick forest cover similar to Keri beach in Goa. The beach is popular with Indian film makers as many songs in movies have been picturised here.
The beach at Nagaon is predominantly a sandy beach unlike most other beaches here in Alibaug. It is a vast flat beach with a soft fine mixture of black and white sand. Betel nuts and coconuts are available in abundance along the shore.
Nagaon beach continues endlessly on its north and meets Akshi, another beautiful beach.
Nagaon is also slowly establishing itself as a destination for water sports enthusiasts. You will find jet skis, motor boats and many other water rides. Boating and Parasailing is also very popular among the visitors here. Kayaking and island trips can also be enjoyed by the tourists here.
