Amazing Rajmachi Trek

The Rajmachi Trek is extremely popular amongst avid trekkers. The incredible trail passes through lush green hills, numerous cascading waterfalls and deep valleys, leading to the stunning Rajmachi Fort.

Rajmachi Fort is situated just a little distance away from Lonavala. There are many trains connecting Pune to Lonavala. You can also drive to Lonavala, but the road condition maybe unsafe during monsoon. From Lonavala you can take public transportation or trek towards Udhewadi, the base village of Rajmachi Fort.

Rajmachi Trek starts at the base village of Udhewadi. The trail is a clearly marked and it takes about an hour to reach the top. There many shelters along the way, where you can rest for a few moments and catch your breath. This is a moderate grade trek and can be attemted by beginners as well. If you want to add more excitement to the trek, start your hike from the nearby Kondhane Caves.
