Sindhudurg is blessed with a new Airport!

Now a zippy access to Konkan coast & your favourite destinations!!

Sindhurdurg Airport located at Chipi-Parule near Malvan is the very first airport in the Konkan region & state’s 14^th airport.

Now become operational after our Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu inaugurated the airport on Tuesday, 5^th March. The airport is located along the Konkan coast between Malvan & Vengurla. So Maharashtra’s most popular tourist attractions will now become more accessible than ever. Sindhurdurg Airport is going to be a gateway to all the popular sites like Kankavli, Tarkarli and to the entire Malvan coast. The best part of the airport is it is just at a mere distance of 20kms from Sindhudurg Fort & Tarkarli.

Punekars & Mumbaikars are going to be more benefited as their long duration of travelling apparently will minimize. One can go to Malvan by flight & then hire a bike or book a vehicle to roam around as per the requirements. And Yes… have more time for Fun too!!

Now, even short weekend trips can also be planned easilly.

The Sindhudurg airport could also be a good way to get to Goa, particularly North Goa. The driving distance from here to Terekhol, Arambol & Mandrem beaches is roughly 60km, which is the same as it is from Goa’s Dabolim airport. In case you even miss a flight to Goa you can still makeup by considering this option to travel Goa.
