Adventure-Bound Panshet to Raigad Trek

The adventure-bound Panshet to The Panshet to Raigad Trek is a challenging hike from the Konkan Diva Fort to the Raigad Fort, the crowning glory of the great Maratha Empire.

Konkan Diva Fort is situated about 130 km away from Pune. The fort was utilised as a watch tower to keep an eye on Raigad Fort. From Pune, you can reach this fort via Panshet. Take a bus to Panshet and from Panshet proceed to Ghol village. From Ghol, continue driving toward Garajwadi village from where the actual ascent to the fort starts.

It takes almost an hour to climb up Konkan Diva Fort. But be extremely cautious during the trek as some portions of the hill can be slippery, especially during monsoon. As an added safety measure, it is advisable to carry ropes for both the ascent and descent. The fort has several caves and water tanks. Few of the water cisterns contain potable water, but it is always better to carry your own water.
