The Camp

The Camp is a cozy farm house set up in a village called Palasambe in Gaganbawda Taluka. This village is situated in the eastern foothills of The Western Ghats. The Western Ghats is one of the World?s ten biodiversity hotspots and it is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The homestay has been set up by Mr. Devadatta Naik, a naturalist who has been exploring the region for last 15 years and has thorough knowledge about the same. Palasambe is a very small village consisting of 4 Vaadies. The main aim of The Camp is conserving the areas around the Western Ghats and providing a very basic home stay for people to enjoy the natural and agricultural surroundings. The Camp aims at inculcating a sense of responsibility in the youth about conserving this rich biodiversity. The Camp also welcomes families and groups to visit this scenic place and enjoy a calm and relaxing stay in the arms of nature.
