Shri Varadvinayak Temple is the fourth temple in the Ashtavinayak Yatra circuit. It is situated in the town of Mahad.

Shri Varadvinayak Temple is the fourth temple in the Ashtavinayak Yatra circuit. It is situated about in the town of Mahad. The temple was built in 1725 by Peshwa General Ramji Mahadev Biwalkar. The temple is surrounded by a beautiful lake.

Like the seven other Ashtavinayak idols, this idol too is ‘Swayambhu’ and was found in 1690 AD, immersed in the lake adjoining the temple. The trunk of the Varadvinayak Ganpati is turned to the left. It is the believed that the oil lamp in this shrine is burning perpetually since 1892. Four elephant sculptures guard the temple on each side. The is also Shiva Linga as well as statues of Mooshika and Navagrahas inside the temple.
